{ Piña Colada Smoothies }

The refreshing, tropical flavor you love in a piña colada—without the guilt!
{And without the 50 grams of sugar...}

One sip of this smoothie will transport you to paradise… So drop the sickeningly sweet & syrupy bottled mix. Replace it with fresh fruit, greek yogurt, and the natural sweetness of honey!

To make this smoothie, begin by cutting your pineapple into bite sized pieces and freezing them over night, along with the banana. Of course, you can always buy fruit that’s been frozen at the grocery store.

However, using fresh fruit and freezing it on your own is often less expensive. It also allows you to make those cute little pineapple triangle garnishes on the side of your glasses! {A must have, in my opinion.}

Once your fruit is completely frozen, place the pineapple, ice, and banana into the blender.

Pulse the blender until the ice and fruit are completely crushed—almost like the consistency of shaved ice. This step ensures that you won't have any huge chunks of unblended frozen fruit or ice in your smoothie.

Once you’ve crushed the fruit and ice, add in the coconut greek yogurt, almond milk, and honey. Blend together with the crushed ice and fruit for at least 20 seconds, until everything is completely smooth.

Give it a taste & feel free to adjust the amount of any ingredients until your smoothie is perfect! {Add a bit more honey for sweetness, or more milk if it’s too thick, etc…}

 ...and don’t forget to decorate your glass with a fresh slice of pineapple! {No piña colada is truly complete without one.} Now take a sip, close your eyes, and imagine yourself swinging on a hammock between two tall palms.

~INGREDIENTS~

1 cup of ice
1 cup of frozen pineapple
1 frozen banana
¾ cups of almond milk
1 coconut Chobani greek yogurt {5.3 oz}
1 tbsp honey {or more, adjust according to flavor}

enjoy*
